Jacob Smalley is an independent country music artist known for his raw, original sound and high-octane live performances. Originally from the rugged landscapes of Maine, Jacob now calls the Ozarks home- a region that continues to shape his distinctive blend of traditional country and southern rock.
Smalley’s original songs are deeply personal stories drawn from real-life experiences and delivered with conviction. His radio debut, “What Do You Say”, a modern-day love song written for his wife, charted on MusicRow’s CountryBreakout Chart in October 2024, earning national attention for its sincerity and emotional pull. In January 2025, he released “Sober”, a soul-baring single that resonated across the globe, amassing 2.8 million views in a few days time and creating a deep connection with listeners navigating addiction or touched by it in some way.
Continuing his momentum, Jacob released “This is Country Music” to radio in May 2025— a track that both asks and answers the timeless question of what country music really is. The song pays tribute to the genre’s roots, honoring the legends who built it and the artists who continue to carry its torch today.
